Pashmina Checked Scarf

£125.00

Our pashminas are made entirely with fibres from our own Kashmiri mountain goats, not any other materials. They come in an array of subtle designs and patterns from stripes to checks, and also in a rainbow of plain shades. Some are hand-dyed in two colours, others are decorated with pretty lace.

Pashminas are versatile, ideal for adding an extra layer in cooler weather or creating an additional or contrast colour for just about any outfit.

Each pashmina we produce is made by hand using age-old traditions to which we bring a twist and a flair for modern design. An incredible amount of craftsmanship goes into each one.

The goats used are the changthangi breed of the capra hircus goat – so rare they account for under 0.1% of cashmere output worldwide.

What sets pashmina fibres apart is their thinness compared with other cashmere fibres, which makes them ideally suited to lighter garments such as scarves.

In the past, we believe the term has been used too liberally – many so-called ‘pashminas’ are not made from pashmina fibres at all, and may even be synthetic. Buy one of our scarves, though, and you know you are getting the real thing.
